●  From the File Menu at the top of the Main Screen, you can access the Options Screen.

●  The first tab of the Options Screen (Invoice Settings) allows you to establish default invoice settings, business logo, and business address for use throughout the program.

●  The second tab (Program Default Settings) allows you to specify various default settings and name the four user defined documents that work with the Documents Screen.

●  The third tab (User Defined Fields) allows you to specify user defined fields that work with the Flock Records Screen.

●  Create new species records. Edit existing or default species records. Import species files from other users.

●  Set the incubation, banding and fledging period for each species. These time periods work with the Egg Status Screen and the Breeding Screen to inform you of upcoming nest events.

●  Bird Tracker comes pre-loaded with 86 species and their color mutations. The "Open Defaults Selection Menu" button allows you to add or restore the default settings for any of the 86 pre-loaded species at any time.

●  Autosomal and Sex-Linked mutations can be easily added to the screen.

●  Create common terms to be displayed following a genetic computation.

●  Add up to 17 show standards for each species.  

●  Add unlimited photos for each bird.

●  To Add or Edit the color mutations for each bird, simply click the "Edit Genotype" button and select the desired traits currently existing on the Species Screen.

●  Add pedigree for recently acquired birds.

●  View and print a Family Tree

●  Specify information to be shown or printed in a Genealogy Listing that goes back as far as you have records.

●  Create unlimited examination records for each bird.

●  Five user defined fields are provided for you to specify any additional text boxes not already addressed on the screen. The caption and data type for each text box is specified through the Options Screen.

●  Easily add a new round at the click of a button. Upon adding a new round, you are provided with the option to forward all hatchlings to the offspring records and/or archive, delete or do nothing with the existing breeding record.

●  Forward egg information to the Incubation Screen by clicking the "Send Selected Egg to Incubation Screen" button.

●  Forward hatchling information to the Offspring Records Screen by clicking the Egg # button.  Once a hatchling has been forwarded, the Egg # button will go away.

●  By clicking the "Show Genetic Make-up (Genotype) Prediction" button, you will open the Genetic Predictions Screen which will display the probable genetic outcome of the current breeding pair.

●  Tracks nest event dates that have not yet occurred.

●  Enter specific criteria to find the ideal mate for a bird and create a breeding record directly from this screen by clicking the "Set-up Breeding" button.

●  Offspring records are created by either entry onto the Offspring Screen or by forwarding from the Breeding Screen by clicking the Egg # button.

●  Add unlimited photos for each bird.

●  Add color mutations currently stored on the Species Screen.

●  Move or copy the offspring record to the flock records at the press of a button.

●  View and print a Family Tree

●  Specify information to be shown or printed in a Genealogy Listing that goes back as far as you have records.

●  Click the Feeding button to add weights and feedings for each day.

●  Your business information is also added to the Hatch Certificate.

●  Attributes are fed to the screen from the standards you establish on the Species Screen.

●  Integrated with the Invoice Screen for easy billing.

●  The Schedule section will show all birds and their location assignment. Click on a text box of the grid to view the full content directly above the grid (in the yellow box).

●  Several of the screens within the Bird Tracker program can access the contact records through a popup screen for quick entry of address information.

●  The fields created on the Project Creation Screen will appear on the Project Results Screen where birds are assigned and study results recorded.

●  Enter a query and print a pre-formatted or user-created report showing all records that match the criteria.

●  Printout breeding statistics reports meeting the selected criteria.

●  The displayed grid can be printed or exported to Excel.

●  All grids remember their last column selection and settings.

●  Records that are selected (i.e., check box clicked or "Select" column title clicked to select all displayed records), depending upon the screen, can be archived, deleted, or printed as a pre-formatted report.

●  You can easily restore your database and associated files.
