LSV2 Ballasting Program
The Large Scale Vehicle (LSV2) CUTTHROAT Ballasting Program was developed by Cabin Software to ensure proper ballasting of the new one-third scale submarine model. This program uses a logic completely different from that of the LSV1 program for lead and trim tank ballasting and provides more options and flexibility to users of the system.
The basic function of the program is to total up all weight and moment changes for the model prior to submerged operations, to include compressibility and water density, and compute a lead and/or trim tank change to ensure proper ballasting at each specified depth.
